  1. All super heroes are created through compound V. As an infant parents would be given an opportunity to inject their child with the compound V concoction. They are compensated for this to keep the child and raise them. In addition they sign a confidentiality agreement about how their child got their super powers. The child will manifest their powers nearly immediately, however they will be low level powers. Powers are not unique and manifest in different ways for each child that is injected with them. Powers are normally beneficial but can be completely useless and only change the appearance of the child injected. Some of these appearances are worse than others. You can find out some of these results here. Power levels are how we will describe each supe here. Each power level comes with a total amount of powers of your choice. Can an adult become a supe like in the show? While its possible, it is extremely difficult and 99% deadly. We do allow them, however they will not be more than a "Normal Supe". Compound V, without the permanent transition into being a supe, is potent enough to make normal people super for a week or so with basic powers like strength, agility and low level invulnerability. Please read our document on Compound V for more information. How much can you lift bro? For clarification super strength is a common power and will vary from supe to supe. If you would like to quantify how strong your supe is then utilize a real life object that they can lift or bench press. AKA your character can fully lift and hold a car above their head (that is 2 tons of weight but you don't have to describe the weight just that they can bench press a car). On average supes with more basic supe strength can lift about half a ton meaning they can pick up the front of a car and lift it off the ground but they can't get it fully off the ground as they need the grounds leverage to do this. This is what most super heroes will have. If you have questions feel free to ask the staff but using a real life object as a max weight will give you, the staff, and the other users a good gauge of your characters full strength. The Levels Appearance Supe These supes are pretty much useless. They are likely primarily a change in appearance or their super power does nothing particularly useful. Examples of this are supes like "The Deep" whose powers are talking to sea creatures and being able to breathe underwater. Basic Supe This superhero has a basic super power that is at least moderately useful. It would be only one power and is often only useful in some cases. An example of this type of character is "Mezmer". Normal Supe This superhero normally has a useful superpower as well as a basic super power (often super strength) or an extremely useful single power. And example is "A-Train" or "Translucent". Extra Supe These supes normally have an extraordinary power with a few other basic powers that make them extremely useful and powerful. An example is "Stormfront" or "The Female". To play an Extra Supe, you need to notify the staff so the powers can be reviewed. Extreme Supe These super heroes were born in extreme labs and are normally mentally completely full of themselves and how powerful they are. This is reserved to Homelander and staff characters. If you would like a comprehensive list of super powers you can check out this site.
  2. Compound V What is Compound V? Compound V is basically superhero juice. What sort of affects does it have? If injected as an infant a person will become a supe for the rest of their life. If given Compound V as an adult it can provide an adult with normal super powers (normal level max) but more likely they will be an appearance or basic supe). It also has a high mortality rate in adults. It amps up existing super powers on supes. How easy is it to get Compound V? Compound V is expensive as hell but obtainable. We recommend you go through your local Vought retailer. What sort of side effects are there when using Compound V? It really depends one what and how its being used. If used on an infant it gives them super powers in a range of varieties. If use on an adult and injected with it it normally results in death but can result in superhuman powers. If used on a supe they get super pumped and their powers are more heightened. Additionally it has the potential to degenerate their body faster if they don't keep up with the bodies needs (like food, calcium etc). Compound X What is Compound X? Its a street level drug version of Compound V. It only lasts a few days and results vary however it makes normal people able to stand up to most supes without getting killed by being punched in the face. What sort of affects does it have? Being injected into normal people gives temporarily super (stronger, faster and more agile with a possibility of other powers). If I am a Boy do I have to use Compound X? If you plan to go toe to toe with a supe, yes. Using Compound X is the only way you may not get your brain splattered against a wall.
  3. The Boys is a secret agency run across the world (though under different but similar names). The organization was brought about due to the rampant misconduct performed by supes and a need to police them. While not publically known for its services to society the Boys organization makes its mark by taking down supes that are out of control. The Boys have been known for ruining or removing supes that have been horribly abusive of their powers and hurt more than their fair share of people. While Billy Butcher, one of the original founders, is commonly known as the leader it is not the case. The Boys themselves are provided information through an unknown entity that gives them tips on supe abuse. (More to be discovered later in the story). ** Please note that the Boys organization is an RP specific item to make being in the anti-supes group more accessible for RP reasons. We totally understand that its not fully canon but want to be more inclusive to everyone that wants to participate and join in on the Boys club.
  4. Vought International is primary corporation that contracts and creates superheroes. Their foundation dates back to at least World War 2, the corporation discovered a way to make people extraordinary by giving them super powersthough results may vary. Vought's "home location" is Vought tower in New York. Vought's primary goal is to capitalize on licensed super heroes and utilize them to produce profit though they have other schemes on the side. (Other schemes will be revealed by admins as we go). Licensed super heroes are traded at Vought's whim for to locations to keep the peace and are heavily PR regulated and controlled. Vought itself is run by CEO Stan Edgar.

  6. Creating a Character Congratulations you don't need another account, or email or anything! You won't even have to switch around to edit your character either! We have this spiffy Character Mod that makes all of that unnecessary (shhh... sooper secret trick, you don't even have to edit your post to change the character!). To create a character you need to go to our Characters Page which has a list of all of the characters within the site. In the top right, click on "Create Character" and a little window will popup and give you what you can enter. The only required bit of information is the name, Age and Occupation/Rank of your character (and don't worry you can always edit). Then Click save at the bottom and you're done. You'll be brought right to the character's profile where you can edit and spruce it up or leave it as is. To use it is just as easy. When you are posting around the forum you will see a new drop down that says "Out of Character" click on that and choose your character. If you mess up then click "Change Character" at the bottom of your post and choose the correct character.
  7. Site Standards 3-3-3 Rating FD allows graphic use of language, as well as uncensored portrayal of violence and sexual content. It is up to players to specify what they are comfortable with. We recommend doing that by editing your profile and utilizing the "Player Limits" or Creating a Plotter and creating a topic in there. We allow the use of Trigger warnings but do not require it as the content this site is based off of includes: graphic and unnecessary violence, abuse, sexual harassment/assault, drug use, excessive swearing and more. No Word Count FD staff enforce neither a minimum nor maximum word count for posts. No Application FD utilizes the IPS Character Mod. Simply fill out the listed profile fields and begin playing. There is no approval process. Follow this guide for assistance: Face Claims & Play Bys If utilized, Play Bys/Face Claims must be represented by real people. Players may use original and commissioned artwork as representation or an image from The Boys comics. Other comics are not an approved source of images. Duplicate face claims are allowed with the consent of both parties. Formerly utilized face claims from inactive characters are fair game as determined by staff after 3 months of inactivity. In Character Regulations Liquid Time. Characters may be in multiple threads at once, and threads may be done both past and present. It is up to the player to keep track of their progress. No Meta-Gaming Out of character information is meant to be kept out of character. We all have access to the lists of faction loyalties and spies. Please do not use that information IC unless learned through in character events. Character interactions in the discord do not apply in game unless explicitly agreed upon by all parties, or unless they occur on the In Character Server. No unapproved powerplaying Make sure to get the okay from fellow player(s) before assuming control of their character Establish Post Orders in Group Threads. When creating group threads, establish whether or not there is going to be a posting order for participants. If an order is established, specify how long a player has to post before the thread continues (i.e. 3 days, 1 week etc). Do not skip a player's post without clearing it with them first. Ranking Characters/Canons: We do not have restrictions on how many you can take, however any plot progressing canons or ranked characters must be available to post in events as well as posting every 2 weeks in other threads.
